Kenneth Brown, a Savannah native, first started jewelry repair in 1979. He started out as an apprentice and worked for Hoffhaus Jewelers for 8 years. Kenneth moved to A & C Diamonds and Design working as their head jeweler for 20 years. There he developed his skills and graduated from G.I.A. stone setting school. He had many opportunities to work with designer pieces such as Ritani, Verragio, Scott Kay, and Hearts on fire. Kenneth also had the opportunity to set diamonds cut from the famous Gabriel Tolkowsky. Partially because of Kenneth's work, A & C was able to escalate to the number one retailer of Gabrielle diamonds in the world. In 2004, having secured his name and position in the business world, Kenneth decided to branch off and start his own store were he could do repairs for local stores in the jewelry industry. He started with doing repairs for one store and eventually built up to 16 stores by only his third year in business. In 2007, Kenneth decided that it was time to expand in retail and opened The Jewelers Bench. His store has grown ever since and he is happy to continue to serve his old and new customers with the best jewelry repair that the South East United States has to offer. In 2014 Kenneth decided it was time to slow down and focus on health and family, so he moved back home where he still offers repairs and sizing while you wait but by appointment only.
